Louise Mosrie is a new and vibrant voice of Southern folk and rooted Americana musics. Her authentic, homegrown and natural approach to her original and traditional folk, country and bluegrass songs is exemplified by heartfelt writing, a crystalline voice, and a simple, straightforward performance style.
Louise’s original songs are moving, insightful and clear. Their point of view encompasses her own deeply personal experiences and those of the historical characters she chronicles.
Mosrie has developed a reputation on the East Coast folk circuit, is a regular at leading folk venues such as Nashville’s famous Bluebird Café, Club Pasim, and Café Lena. Louise is a winner of the prestigious New Folk Songwriting Competition at the annual Kerrville Folk Festival and a finalist in the Song Contest on the Singer-Songwriter Stage at the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival.
