The Folk Project Open Stage was a fantastic part of our community, and I am personally inviting you to its reboot online. The schedule is the same: the second Friday of every month. The time is 7pm to 9pm. We kick it off on Friday, March 12th. The premiere will be a special event and you’ll want to be there.
Just like in the old, live days, we’ll have THREE ROOMS, guaranteed to enhance your musical pleasure. Choose one for your playing and listening pleasure.
Room 1. The Main Stage: Just like in-person, the evening starts with a short set by one of our own, after which performers will get a two-song slot and a chance to entertain for our admiring audience.
To sign up and perform, email .
Room 2. The Terrace Room: Scotty Rovner and Glen Coleman are back, hosting the beloved song circle. Show up, take a turn, and share a song. You loved this live, so we’re bring- ing it back virtually.
Room 3. The Vidal Sassoon Green Room: In this private room, musicians can do a sound check with our Open Stage Tech Expert. He’ll help you adjust your setup to make sure your performance sounds great over the internet. He can also check your makeup and tell you that you look marvelous.
Every Open Stage begins with a featured set by a gifted performer selected from our Folk Project community. On Friday, March 12th, it’s Michael Arthur. Michael is a significant talent whose poignant songs explore the breadth and depth of the human experience. His lush open guitar tunings frame his powerful and emotive vocals make for an outstanding performance.
It’s an honor and joy to bring back this special part of our community, and I invite you all to join us at stayaway.FolkProject.org.
