Mike Agranoff

Mike Agranoff is well known to the Folk Project community as a founding member of the organization since its formation in 1977, and has been Chairman of the Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series since its inception. He is celebrated for his humor, instrumental skills, and wide ranging repertoire, and especially for his storytelling. To celebrate his recent release of his book of recitations (stories in rhyme), Jake, the Captain, and Other Heroes, this concert will consist primarily of these recitations. They range from adventure fiction to tongue-in-cheek history to science fiction. His best-known example is “The Ballad of Jake and 10-Ton Molly”. Interspersed will be other stories of noteworthy personal experience.
